Almost Ready

I've been working at school A LOT since my classroom update but I am very happy to report that Room 27 is almost ready for supply night! Today I finished hanging the rest of the bulletin boards and the personal artwork signs I made for each of my students. Each student has their own personal space along the outside wall and then we have group tables in the middle for work times and group activities. This extra space will allow us opportunities to work both independently and in small or large groups and I am very excited to utilize our classroom to its fullest potential.

I got to school at 5:45 am this morning and after putting everything in the hall to work on our doorway bulletin board my door swung shut and because I have an automatic locking door and my keys and phone were on my desk, I was locked in the hall without a way to reach anyone. I borrowed our librarian's computer and logged on to Facebook so I could send out a message to a few of my teaching friends. One sweet teacher came right to my rescue and I was able to finish working inside my room for the rest of the morning. :)

Our space is really starting to look like a classroom! I still need to get some things up on the bulletin boards and hang the rest of our Number Corner items but overall things are really starting to come together. I'm getting so excited to see everyone at supply night on Thursday and I can't wait to start our year together. We are going to have such an amazing time!
